FDM
Bambu Lab H2C Farm
Large-scale ABS thermoplastic extrusion farm (8 machines). Optimized for cost-effective production, large enclosures, jigs, fixtures, and batch manufacturing.
Available Materials
Engineering-grade polymers for production applications
Manufacturing Design Guidelines
Wall Thickness
SLS: min 0.8 mm. SLA: min 0.6 mm. FDM: min 1.2 mm. Thicker walls improve mechanical performance and production reliability.
Support Strategy
SLS is self-supporting. SLA and FDM require support structures for overhangs > 45°. Orient parts to minimize supports and post-processing.
Dimensional Tolerance
Standard tolerances: SLS ±0.3 mm, SLA ±0.1 mm, FDM ±0.5 mm. Critical features can be post-machined for tighter tolerances.
Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
- Non-manifold geometry or mesh errors
- Unsupported overhangs (SLA/FDM only)
- Walls below minimum thickness
- Details smaller than process resolution
- Export as watertight STL or STEP file
- Consider material shrinkage in CAD
